Xavier Legette of the Panthers surprises reporters with a raccoon meateat, and Pat Riley refutes rumours that Jimmy Butler is being traded
After Christmas, Xavier Legette, a rookie wide receiver for the Carolina Panthers, brought a special kind of meat into the locker room for reporters to enjoy.
Raccoon meat was the surprise on the menu on Thursday, courtesy of the rookie. Legette revealed his Christmas present during the reporters’ locker room session.
“I brought some ‘coon with me today as well,” Legette remarked.
Legette carried it into a container. Reporters saw him shred the flesh. Bravely, one Panthers beat reporter sampled the pork entrée Legette brought over. The meat of the raccoon was “spicy and well-seasoned,” according to Sheena Quick.
According to another source, Legette’s speciality meal is typical in his hometown. In the rural south, raccoon meat is prevalent on some days, according to Darin Gantt of panthers.com.
The raccoon meat jar that Xavier Legette took out of his locker startled a lot of reporters. However, with writers from Suburban Hickory and Suburban Mobile, Alabama, here at panthers.com, this wasn’t quite as new. We’ll be calling on Thursday,” Gantt wrote.
